BEFORE...

AND AFTER...

Tomorrow will mark ONE WEEK since I left the Giddings State School and embarked on what may be a frighteningly uncertain (unstable?) future as a self-employed middle aged dude.  Been feeling pretty good about my choice, so far, and have a video here that kind of sums up my feelings on the subject.

AND THE FUTURE...

Who knows?  I suppose/hope it will be better, but making it happen will take a lot of effort and energy -- it won't happen on it's own.  For anyone who is at the end of their rope and still working at GSS, let me assure you there IS life after being a State employee!!  After weighing the costs and benefits of a "steady paycheck" or not, and, even if situations may not be necessarily brighter, quitting GSS was my best choice for the future because at least it'll be different and maybe that's good enough.  I worked hard to help promote positive changes on campus, and never managed to get much of anything accomplished.  Maybe YOU can do better.  If, however, you think you're trapped in a horrorshow of a job like I did -- open yourself to the notion of a better tomorrow and walk out the gate.  And don't look back.
